From 3rd to 5th October 2019 an International scholarly conference “Late Antique Christianity in Southeastern Europe” will be held in Yambol. 56 scholars from 11 countries will attend the event. The conference is organized under the project “LABedia: Encyclopedia of the Late Antiquity of the Balkans, 4th Century”, funded by the Scientific Research Fund and organized by the Institute of Balkan Studies and Centre of Thracology ‘Prof. Alexander Fol’ at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in partnership with the Regional History Museum – Yambol.

The official opening of the conference will be on October 3, 2019 (Thursday) at 9:00 in the building of the Bezisten – Yambol. The plenary session will be held in the Bezisten. The scientific sessions will take place from 3 to 5 October in the conference room of Park Hotel Yambol, located in the western part of the City park.

The event is part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
