Three full members of BAS were honored by President Rumen Radev with state awards at a ceremony at the Coat-of-Arms Hall in the Presidency. These are Academician Vladimir Ovcharov, Academician Chavdar Roumenin and Academician Angel Galabov. Academician Vladimir Ovcharov was awarded the Order "St. Cyril and Methodius“ - pendant for contribution to the development of medical science and education in Bulgaria. With the Order "St. St. Cyril and Methodius“ - first degree, the Head of State honored for his merits in the field of science Academician Chavdar Roumenin. The virologist Acad. Angel Galabov was also awarded the Order "St. Cyril and Methodius“ - first degree for contribution to education and science.
