The implementation of joint projects and initiatives between the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed at a meeting at the Academy by the President of BAS, Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria, H.E. Viktor Temirbayev.
Among the topics of the discussion was research in the field of green energy. Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva briefed Ambassador Temirbayev on the activities of BAS related to the study of the potential of hydrogen technologies.
The two sides agreed that the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Academies, signed in 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan, provides a framework for joint activities and underlined their readiness to strengthen cooperation between the scientific communities of Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.
