The President of BAS Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva met today with the Rector of the University of Forestry (UF) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristo Mihaylov. The opportunities for expanding the partnership and cooperation between the two institutions were discussed.
Among the topics of the discussion were the activities of the Centre of Competence (Cleantech Bulgaria) project with the participation of the Institute of Organic Chemistry with a Centre of Phytochemistry, the “Stephan Angeloff” Institute of Microbiology and UF. Scientists from the University of Forestry are also working together with the Forest Research Institute and the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research of BAS on various scientific projects and research. Thematic lectures and meetings between representatives of BAS and the academic community of the University of Forestry are planned.
