The National Assembly President Nataliya Kiselova talks with the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member Evelina Slavcheva. The meeting took place today in the Parliament building.
I sincerely congratulate you on your election as President of the oldest scientific centre of Bulgaria, Nataliya Kiselova said at the meeting. She expressed hope that under the leadership of Corresponding Member Evelina Slavcheva the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences would continue to unite the efforts of Bulgarian scientists, to promote international recognition of Bulgarian science and to seek solutions to the pressing issues of our time.
Evelina Slavcheva thanked the President of the National Assembly for the good attitude towards the representatives of Bulgarian science and academia. She noted the successful interaction between the two institutions and declared her desire for it to continue. The President of BAS pointed out that in recent years the first steps had been made to increase the salaries of those working in the field of science and expressed the hope that the commitments made to improve the pay, especially of young scientists, would be kept in 2025.
