The Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ) has awarded its highest prize – the Golden Plume Medal to Prof. DSc. Garo Mardirossian from the Space Research and Technology Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). When presenting the award on November 18, the President of UBJ, Snezhana Todorova, stressed that apart from the scientific, inventive and pedagogical activities of Prof. Mardirossian, this high award was given to him for his almost 50 years of active work in the print and electronic media, in his more than 400 appearances in which he promoted science and introduced the public to the achievements of Bulgarian science, and in particular of BAS.
