Hristov and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lidiya Mihova, Head of School. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elka Traykova – Scientific Secretary of the “Cultural and Historical Heritage and National Identity” division introduced the attendees to the history and the place of BAS in the contemporary scientific and spiritual space. She presented the book “To the Bulgarian Roots” which collected essays, stories, poems, drawings and sculptures of the Bulgarian school students, published within the framework of the “Development and Promotion of Bulgarian Studies Abroad” National Science Programme. Assoc. Prof. Mihova expressed her gratitude to BAS for supporting and encouraging the creative talents of young Bulgarians abroad.
The exhibition also presents the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences during the prestigious World Forum for Democracy (6-8. 11. 2024). It is also part of the events marking the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe.
