Academician Ivan Todorov has been awarded the Bogolyubov Prize in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics for 2024 by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna (JINR). The prize is awarded once every five years in connection with the anniversary of the birth of N. N. Bogolyubov (1909-1992).
Academician Ivan Todorov is one of the world’s most eminent Bulgarian physicists. He is known for his contributions to mathematical physics, in particular quantum field theory. He has made significant contributions in the field of Axiomatic Quantum Field Theory and two-dimensional conformal theories and was among the founders of the school of mathematical physics in Bulgaria.
