The seventeenth Spring Seminar of PhD students and young scientists from BAS institutes was held from 23 to 25 April in the hall of the “Mechatronics and Clean Technologies” National Center of Excellence, Geo Milev Campus. PhD students, young scientists and postdocs from eight institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences: IOCCPC, IOMT, IEES, IP, ISSP, IE, IMicB and IGIC, and from two universities: UCTM-Sofia and MU-Sofia participated.
The papers of the participants covered topical areas of science and provoked lively discussions.
The programme included scientific and educational lectures in the field of chemistry, physics, biology and materials science presented by Corr. Memb. Prof. DSc Vassya Bankova – IOCCPC, Prof. DSc Liudmil Antonov – IE, Prof. Dr. Albena Alexandrova – INB, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emi Haladjova – IP, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petia Petrova – IC and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Angelova – IOMT.
So far, 359 young scientists, PhD students and postdocs have participated in the spring seminars of PhD students and young scientists from BAS, and more than 120 prominent Bulgarian scientists working in topical areas of modern science have contributed to the establishment of the scientific event.
