The 20th edition of the National Round of the Geography and Economics Olympiad was held on 19-21 April 2024. The opening ceremony was hosted by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Guests of the event were Mrs. Emilia Lazarova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Corr. Memb. Nikolay Miloshev, Director of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography – BAS and Prof. Denitsa Borisova, Scientific Secretary of the “Climate Change, Hazards and Natural Resources” division, BAS. NIGGG – BAS is a co-organizer of the event. The message of the 20th edition of the Olympiad to the participants in the 30th National Geography Olympiad will be kept in the NIGGG – BAS.
A hundred and twenty-seven students from the country took part in the competition.
