The project of “Postcard 90 years since the birth of Svetlin Rusev” was presented at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The artist Yana Aneva is the author of the project which includes the work “Vanga” 1990 by Svetlin Rusev (1933-2018).
The ceremony is part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the great Bulgarian artist, academician of BAS. The culmination will take place on June 12 at BAS, said the President of the Academy Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of BAS.
Special guests at the ceremony were Prince Michael George Charles Franklin of Kent and Prince Nikita Lobanov-Rostovsky. The event was attended by the President of the Union of Bulgarian Philatelists Spas Panchev, Rumen Petkov from Civil Society – Pleven, Michael Tachev – CEO of “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” International Foundation, Members of Parliament and scientists.
Prince Lobanov-Rostovsky was declared an honorary member of the Union of Bulgarian Philatelists and received a gold badge from the President Spas Panchev.
The edition “Postcard 90 years since the birth of Svetlin Rusev” is to be validated in June, after which it will be distributed through the commercial network of “Bulgarian Posts” EAD.
