On the occasion of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, at an official ceremony today in the building of the National Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross, BAS was awarded with the Honorary Badge of Humanity – Henry Dunant of the Bulgarian Red Cross and a Diploma for the organized donation campaign by the Assembly of Academicians and Corresponding Members of BAS (AACM) in support of the National Campaign of the Bulgarian Red Cross in support of the victims of the conflict in Ukraine. The Chairman of the BRC Mr. Hristo Grigorov presented the award to Acad. Damyan Damyanov – Vice-President of AACM.
At the event, awards and distinctions were also given to donors, partners, volunteers and employees of the BRC and the BRCY who have made a significant contribution to the development of the organisation, the establishment of its authority and for the support provided to the causes of the organisation.
