Cooperation with the “Houari Boumediene” University of Science and Technology in Algeria was discussed at a meeting between the President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, and the Ambassador of Algeria to Bulgaria H.E. Mrs. Baya Bensmail.
During the conversation Prof. Revalski presented the activities of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, its history and structure. As an example of successful cooperation H.E. Mrs. Bensmail pointed out the exhibition on the occasion of the Independence Day of Algeria, held at the National Archaeological Institute with Museum of BAS last year. The Ambassador added that the higher education institutions in Algeria have shown interest in cooperation with the Academy. The meeting was also attended by the Vice President of BAS Corr. Mem. Stefan Hadjitodorov.
