The cooperation between the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Japanese scientific institutions was discussed at a meeting at BAS by the President, Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, and the Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria, H.E. Hiroshi Narahira. The second secretary for economic affairs at the embassy, Ms. Michiyo Miyamoto, also took part in the talks.
During the meeting an analysis of the results of previous scientific initiatives was made with the participation of Bulgarian and Japanese researchers. The possibilities for renewal of the cooperation agreement between the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Science Council of Japan were also discussed.
