The honorary plaque 1st degree (gold) of the President of the BAS was bestowed by Academician Julian Revalski upon the Director of the French Institute Fabien Flori. The distinction was conferred for his contribution to promoting and affirming the authority of the Academy and as a token of gratitude for the long-term fruitful cooperation between the two institutions.
The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the French Cultural Institute are working together on a series of events to promote science to society. An example of those is the joint “Meetings of Future” initiative, in the framework of which world-renowned French scientists were invited to lecture at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the past 2018.
