Martenitsa Celebration with the participation of scientists from IEFSEM

The customs related to the Martenitsa and spring in the different countries were presented by the Ambassadors of Romania and Moldova in Bulgaria. The event took place on 7 March, in cooperation with the National Ethnographic Museum. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Republic of North Macedonia, and guests included representatives of various diplomatic missions in Bulgaria as well as representatives of the Bulgarian government. Russia’s military aggression against the sovereign Ukrainian state confronted the world with one of the greatest challenges to the post-World War II international order. The war is once again returning with striking analogies from the past, as if to refute the claim of the “end of history” after the end of communist regimes in Eastern Europe and the Cold War. Preceded by the annexation of Crimea in 2014, the promotion of separatism in the Donbas and a long-running hybrid war, the current direct aggression against Ukraine is the result of imperial ambitions that are justified or disguised by Russia’s security interests and its concern for its compatriots in the neighbouring country. Exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2021”

The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, attended the official opening of the exhibition "Bulgarian Archaeology 2021" in the National Archaeological Museum with Institute. More than 650 exhibits from 40 sites, varying in type and chronology, from Prehistory to the National Revival are presented. This is the fifteenth exhibition that shows the work of archaeologists from all over the country, said the Director of NAIM Prof. Hristo Popov.
