International Symposium on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine

BioBlitz survey on invasive alien species (IAS) will be conducted on 21 May 2022, in the region of Pancharevo Lake, Sofia Municipality. The survey has been organised at European level under the COST Action CA17122 Increasing understanding of alien species through citizen science (Alien CSI) (https://iasbioblitz.creaf.cat/). Fish Migration Day will be celebrated as an accompanying event. Fish sampling methods will be demonstrated to the participants and they will be informed about the direct and indirect threats to native ichthyofauna arising from changed hydromorphological conditions and other human impact, including invasive alien species. Exhibition “The Health Centre in Antiquity and the Middle Ages”

Award for BAS in the competition “Inventor of the Year”

Prof. Dr. Krasimira Todorova-Hairabedyan from the Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction of BAS was awarded in the competition of the Patent Office and the Union of Inventors in Bulgaria "Inventor of the Year" 2021, category "Chemistry and Biotechnology".
