The final of the seventh edition of the "My thesis in 180 seconds" international PhD competition was held on 28 May at the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall of BAS. The “Prof. Marin Drinov" prize for young scientists and "Ivan Evstratiev Geshov" for youngest scientists of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences were awarded during the solemn assembly on the occasion of May 24 which was held at the Academy. Seventeen young scientists were awarded for their achievements. The President of BAS Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva presented the awards. The sixth Interdisciplinary Doctoral Forum was officially opened on 13 May 2025 at the Grand Hotel Velingrad. The event is organized by the PhD Training Center - BAS and the Career Center at TC-BAS and will last until 16 May 2025. Ninety PhD students from BAS, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Medical University – Sofia are presenting their scientific developments. The forum was officially opened by Corr. Memb.   The participation of scientists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme has been discussed at a meeting at the Academy by the President of BAS Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva and the Commissioner for Start-ups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva.
