His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil received today the President of BAS Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva in the Synodal Palace. During the meeting, the important role of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in strengthening the faith and spirituality of the Bulgarian people was highlighted. Both sides expressed their hope that the current cooperation will continue in the future and agreed to implement joint initiatives between the two institutions in the scientific and spiritual field. The National Assembly President Nataliya Kiselova talks with the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member Evelina Slavcheva. The meeting took place today in the Parliament building. I sincerely congratulate you on your election as President of the oldest scientific centre of Bulgaria, Nataliya Kiselova said at the meeting.   The diplomas of the new members of the Assembly of Academicians and Corresponding Members of BAS (AACM) were awarded at an official ceremony held in the "Prof. Marin Drinov" Hall. Eleven new academicians and 21 new corresponding members had been elected by the Assembly of Academicians at the elections held in September. In front of the AACM, Prof. Revalski, Member of BAS, made a report on the management of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for the period from 2016 to 2024.
