Jubilee postage stamp on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of BAS

Postage stamp “150 Years of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences” was validated today by the President of BAS, Prof. Julian Revalski, DSc and the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov. The ceremony was held in “Prof. Marin Drinov” hall of the Academy. Young scientists with honors for successful projects

Forty-one young scientists from nine scientific divisions received certificates for successful implementation of projects under the Program for Supporting Young Scientists and PhD Students at BAS. European Researchers’ Night 2019 at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

Scientists from the Institute of Molecular Biology, Institute of Optical Materials and Technologies, Institute of Polymers, Institute of Solid State Physics, Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technology with Center for Hydro- and Aerodynamics and the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics participated in European Researchers’ Night 2019, which was held on September 27 at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Visitors were able to see computer generated holographic images, ways to isolate DNA, a new generation of painless wound healing materials, nanomaterials for food storage, and more. The European Researchers’ Night was realized under K-TRIO 3 project, in which the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is a partner. It is funded by the European Commission through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon 2020.
