The Vice-President of BAS Corr. Mem. Evdokia Pasheva presented awards to young scientists from the Academy who were distinguished in a competition for the best publication in the field of natural-mathematical, and humanities and social sciences. Each year the awards are named after notable BAS scientists on the occasion of their anniversaries. For the year 2024 the awards are dedicated to Acad. Ivan Salabashev and Acad. The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian National Radio will cooperate and implement joint initiatives for the development of science in society. This is stated in the Memorandum signed today at the Academy by the President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of BAS, and the Director General of BNR Milen Mitev. In the period 30 July - 3 August 2024, a delegation from BAS consisting of the President of the Academy Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of BAS, and the Scientific Secretary-General of BAS Prof. Neli Koseva is visiting the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. At the official meeting with the MAS leadership, held on 31 July, the delegation was introduced to the stages in the historical development of the MAS and its current structure and functions in society and the state as well as its international activities. On the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), the First Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States was organized in Istanbul with the participation of the rectors of leading Turkish universities.
