 The Assembly of Academicians has elected today new Corresponding Members in the fields of Arts and Art Studies.   Arts and Art Studies Branch Department of Arts Corresponding Member Georgi Gospodinov Georgiev Born in 1968. He is a poet, writer and literary scholar. He is the author of more than 15 books in various genres - poetry, short stories, novels, plays, librettos for opera, studies of the recent past, film scripts. His “Natural Novel” and “The Physics of Sorrow” novel have been translated into 25 languages in over 40 countries worldwide. Newly elected Corresponding Members of BAS

The Assembly of Academicians has elected today new Corresponding Members in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Agricultural and Forestry Sciences. Humanities and Social Sciences Branch Humanities Corresponding Member Ivan Dinev Roussev, DSc Born in 1963. He is a scientist of international renown.  His main scientific field is the economic history of Bulgaria. He also works on the diplomatic history of the Black Sea and the Balkans (18th-19th centuries) and studies the European consular presence in the region.  His attention is mainly drawn to the French economy.
