The project "Bulgarian Online Encyclopaedia . Connected and accessible encyclopaedic  knowledge" has been presented at the first information day on the project activities at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences by the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and the "Bulgarian Encyclopaedia " Scientific Information Centre of BAS. The aim of the project is to develop a specialized online platform including multifunctional databases. Through the platform, the rich resource of scientific encyclopaedic  articles, archival materials (documents and photos) will be digitized, structured and made available for public use. The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Ladies' Forum Association will collaborate to support business and innovations. The President of BAS Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva and Ms. Diana Miteva, Chairperson of the Board of the Association, have signed a partnership agreement between the two organizations at a ceremony held today at the Academy. Trainings, information events and campaigns are to be organized by both parties according to the signed document. It is planned to develop analyses and studies in areas such as innovation, science and education.   The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva and the Executive Directors of the "Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria" Fund of Funds Victoria Hristova and Biser Petkov have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The ceremony has taken place today at the Academy. The document provides for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between the scientific field, business, government institutions and society and the organisation of joint initiatives. The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Sofia H.E. Dai Qingli today at the Academy. During the talks, the long-standing scientific cooperation between BAS and various academic institutions in China was discussed. The two sides expressed readiness to expand and deepen the partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences while noting the successful joint work of scientists from BAS and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. 152 years since the death of Vasil Levski On the day of the 152nd anniversary of the death of Vasil Levski, representatives of the leadership and staff of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences paid tribute to the personality and work of the Apostle of Freedom. A wreath and flowers were laid at the monument of Vasil Levski in Sofia. With the Axion estin (Dostoyno est) hymn of the Holy Mother - the favorite hymn of Deacon Vasil Kunchev, a procession from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences to the monument was started.
