The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, met with representatives of the Francophone University Agency (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie - AUF). During the talks, the possibility for the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences to become a member of the Francophone University Agency was discussed. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the AUF and former Minister of Education of Tunisia Prof. Slim Khalbous, Prof. Marielle Payaud, Head of the Rector's Office, and Mr. Mohamed Ketata, Director of the AUF Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe.

The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, talked with the Ambassador of Cuba to our country H.E. Mrs. Caridad Yamira Cueto Milián in the Academy. The possibilities for activating the cooperation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the University of Havana were discussed during the meeting. They talked about future cooperation between Bulgarian and Cuban scientists in various fields of scientific research - with emphasis on medicine and biomedicine.
